Bogmolo Beach, Goa

The Bogmolo Beach, Goa is located just south of the airport in the peninsula of Mormugao. This village is accessible by road from Vasco da Gama which is about 8 km northwest. The Dabolim Airport is around 4 km from the beach. The scenery is beautiful with the central plateau leading to the flat bottom valley with coconut trees strewn around and redbrick huts in plenty. The headlands at the northern end of the Cova bay are lined with palms flanking this fishing village.

The Bogmolo Beach in Goa has a local church which is tiny and whitewashed. As the beach attracted tourists, small cafes and bars sprang up to cater to the tourists with blaring western music and operates into the wee hours of the morning.
As compared to other beaches in Goa like the Calangute beach or the Colva beach, the Bogmolo Beach is clean, not crowded, upcoming and developing, safe for swimming in the sea with plenty of shops to eat, drink and purchase trinkets. To make the beach more attractive, a small diving school was recently setup in Bogmolo and are licensed to conduct the PADI approved Open Water Diving courses. For the novice who wants to try their hands at diving, a hard day course is offered as a starter and dives includes trips to shipwrecked sites and coral beds just off the coast.
Not a big beach, the Bogmolo Beach of Goa has plenty of eateries and open air restaurants serving delicious sea food and snacks. Drinks are always easily available and the locally brewed Feni wine is very popular amongst tourists. For those seeking accommodation near the Bogmolo Beach in Goa, there are a few luxury hotels in the vicinity but most of the tourists prefer to stay in the cheaper option of guesthouses.
