Maharaja Ganga Singh built the palace in the memory of his dead father. The delicate lattice work and the hanging balconies at the fort are mesmerizing. The Junagarh fort at Bikaner was built by Rai singh during the period 1588 to 1593. the massive structure of the fort is quite imposing on all the visitors who come to Bikaner. Within the fort there are some grand sections which should not be missed at any cost. Ganga Mahal, Anup Mahal, Rang Mahal, Diwan e Khas, Hawa Mahal, Phool Mahal, Badal Mahal, Chandra Mahal and Dungar Mahal are some of the most important sections in the fort.
